What you put on your car doesn't stay there.
It rinses off your paint and runs down the driveway. In most places, that runoff goes into a storm drain, and storm drains carry it untreated to creeks and the ocean. It stays on your hands after the wash. It hangs in the cabin where you drive, and where your kids ride.
We started Clean Karma because most car care is formulated for one outcome, the shine, and treats everything else as someone else's problem. We think the formula should be as clean as your car will be.
Every ingredient, on the label
A single word like "fragrance" can stand in for many unnamed compounds. We name them. Every bottle lists every ingredient, with what it does and why it's there.
What we leave out
Our exterior wash cleans with surfactants made from coconut and sugar (coco glucoside and decyl glucoside) instead of sodium laureth sulfate, whose manufacturing process can leave traces of 1,4-dioxane. We don't use formaldehyde-releasing preservatives or amine-based foam boosters. The wash is pH-neutral, so it cleans without stripping the wax, sealant, or ceramic coating you already paid for.
Ship less water
A ready-to-use car wash is mostly water. It's heavy to ship, and every purchase comes in a new plastic bottle. We ship concentrate instead. You mix it at home in the bottle you already own and refill it by mail. That means less weight on the truck and less plastic in the bin.
What goes around
The idea behind the brand is simple: what you put into the world comes back. Choose ingredients that are gentle on the water downstream, on the hands doing the work, and on the people in the back seat. That care returns as a car you're glad to be in and a routine you don't have to second-guess.
That's the standard. Hold us to it.
